About Indy

Indy BoswellBorn in 1947, Indy (James D. Boswell) spent his formative years growing up in the small town of Culver, Indiana. He has a broad educational foundation including a B.A. degree in mathematics from Hanover College (1969); an M.P.A. degree in public finance from Indiana University, School of Public and Environmental Affairs (1976); and an M.B.A. degree in general management from the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School (1983). During part of the Cold War period, Indy served as a naval officer aboard a fleet ballistic missile submarine.

In addition to his educational and naval experiences, Indy spent twenty-five years in Washington, DC providing management consulting, financial analyses, engineering, and budgeting services to several companies and institutions. Included among the companies and institutions with which he worked or consulted are: IBM, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, the Department of Energy, and the U.S. Navy. After a somewhat fulfilling business career, Indy moved back to his Indiana hometown in 2000 where he now writes novels and short stories while working part-time as a management consultant.

In his writing Indy draws from a broad set of experiences while incorporating many of the understandings that he has adopted from his ongoing study of both eastern and western religions. Having been to “battle stations missile” more than once during his younger days, Indy feels compelled to look for alternatives and views that most writers might not otherwise consider.
